Post subject:  Getting the mod
O.k, i've dl-ed the mod right (?) and yet i cant play it. I dl-ed the .ut2004mod version and the .zip version and followed both directions. AT first i was :D then :x finally :evil: . WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? other then not being able to get the umod installer? HELP

I had troubles too and the only thing that worked in the end was the umod installer and following these instructions:

viewtopic.php?f=17&t=20

And here is a link to a umod installer for mac osx leopard:

You may have to google a umod installer appropriate to your computer's operating system. Good Luck!

Unfortunetly, i've tried that. :( Now i am stuck with 3-4 .ut4mod files that have NO USE AT ALL!!!! :evil: :evil:

Do you have skype? If so, I can help step by step. If not, setup an account and message me with you skype address! Than I will be able to help - this is probably going to be the best way with the least amount of hassle.

U-Mod's don't always work unless you have the right software for your system. So do you have an unzipping program? Are you successful in unzipping the zipped files?

If you are, just follow the directions in (viewtopic.php?f=17&t=20) and install all the files in the correct folders as stated!

    - The .ukx goes into /UT2004/Animations
    - The .ifr goes into /UT2004/ForceFeedback
    - The .ka goes into /UT2004/KarmaData
    - The .ut2 goes into /UT2004/Maps
    - The .ogg goes into /UT2004/Music
    - The .uvx goes into /UT2004/Saves
    - The .uax goes into /UT2004/Sounds
    - The .xml goes into /UT2004/Speech
    - The .usx goes into /UT2004/StaticMeshes
    - The .u goes into /UT2004/System
    - The .ucl goes into /UT2004/System
    - The .ini goes into /UT2004/System
    - The .int goes into /UT2004/System
    - The .upl goes into /UT2004/System
    - The .utx goes into /UT2004/Textures
