"Computer score" ??

Sounds like you may have had viruses/malware if you had corrupted files.

Glad to hear that it's fixed.

Well a version update would make sense, glad it is working now!

Hey Worlock..

When unreal starts up. press escape and miss the intro.
1] Braught to menu
2] Choose "Settings" option

Now click on "AUDIO" tab
-> UNCHECK "Low Sound Detail" box is now blank no X in it {not in use}
-> UNCHECK "Reverse Stereo" box is now blank no X in it {not in use}

TEXT TO SPEECH SECTION lower right
-> CHECK "ENABLE IN GAME" box now has an X in it {activated}
-> CHECK "Voice Chat" box now has an X in it {activated}
-> Click on the "CONFIGURE" Tab

presented with menu of choices:
-> SLIDE "Voice Chat Volume" bar to atleast 5.5 {you may need to play with this for proper response.
-> UNCHECK "Adjoin Local Channel" box is now blank no X in it {not in use}
-> CHECK "Adjoin Team Channel" box now has an X in it {activated}
-> CHECK "Auto-Select Active Channel" box now has an X in it {activated}
-> Default "Channel Name" for now leave blank.
-> Default "Chat Password" for now leave blank.
-> "Internet QUALITY" choose "Better Quality"
-> "lAN quality" choose "Better Quality"

DONE CLICK OK Button

Your AUDIO is now set. These settings I use they work fine. I also have a volume slider switch
on my headphone line. That does NOT effect unreal menu. Only the direct headphone set itself for
personnel preference in volume to my ears.

I hope this has shed some light on the matter. I know the thread is old. But I was just
browsing round.

Regards;
"JW"
