Hey Everyone!

Is anyone interested in playing the maps from unreal tournament 2000?
If so; please let me know. I know phobos, morpheus, pressure, liandri and
some others were the hay day in their time. If you do have a preference
Let me know.

Just a thought. Since we all are Unreal freaky. :) Would not mind portin them over
for the server. Maybe to change up and relive the glory days. Shame they were not
included in ut2004. The editor is totally diff. from ued3. So re texturing is 95% of
my chore for each map.. But fun it is!!!

Any who I did start on DM-Landri and DM-Pressure. looking good. I know shrew! :o
Where's my raptor!!!.... hehehhe.. Ask the admin in charge Bonjaa. I could make
a trimmed version off of jw_mountain_hideaway. Could flip it in a day or 2.
to add them in and make it challenging enough.

But for now you can email me at-> jokers_wild@crucibus.com with you names
of the map you like. Lets vote on it. I'll tally my email and keep you all posted. ;)

[1] week from today => 02-08-2012; ought to do it. :) Would be a good lift from the usual maps. :lol:

Regards;

If the players would like to see these maps - I'll put them on when you look at them JW!

Okay then been 7 days and only 3 replies: :cry:

I thought from the conversations with players that the tournament maps
were something of a welcomed refresh. People that missed playing the prior
maps that had not been carried over to the UT2004 unreal. Many had agreed
from online chit chat. But I see that is as far as it went.

Only 3: Worlock; Shrew; Bonjaa replied. Sad :( But never the less I have
almost completed DM-Liandri. I will stop there! That was the hottest map people
most copied from and wanted to duplicate. 8-) Any who I will let Bonjaa know
when it is completed. Should be by weeks end. If you have something better
go for it. I'd also like to play it.

Shrew? I will look into the raptor map as it seems I have some time to do it now.
Will keep you advised.

The Player here – use to have a server on both the old unreal & ut\4 long while back, have about 20+ maps I either created for converted for sniper type driving games, would love to get them on here – nothing better than a head shot 50 clicks when the young’ings go for the vehicles, created a whack of custom tex’s etc. will need some help getting them over here let me know if interested?

Keep your head up & your chin down!!!

Yeah not like it was back in the 80's. When a forum was called BBS {Bulletin Board Service}.
I know I had been running one in college through multiple phone lines all inbound. you ready!!

Mustang! remember that one. awesome BBS. Anyways; your right forum or BBS this sort of thing
seems to have gone to the way side. Just us tried and true hard cores left. Thanks a heap for the replies peeps.

player - you will need to speak to Bonjaa - Badass - Alfa_Dawg anyone of the admins for your Idea.
Sounds like a plan.

[Q]... In your conversions, k... Did you remove any of the names from epic?
[Q]... Did you replace their textures with yours. Careful on this one! Epic does not mind
conversions but does mind removing entitlement and rights from their work.

Texture replacement in their maps are ok. Credit needs to remain in the binaries. {Levelinfo} under view
in the editor. like Author etc. In the hay day epic was pretty much on top of servers and duplicating their work.
Today, not too many of us left - but still cautious.

Their default structure hides many code lines. Which include this as seen in "mylevel" this is automatic.
You can change this but a task indeed. Wouldn't mind taken a gander at a few though. See what the admins
say, and get back to me if you still interested.

Thanks for input;
Regards;

New Maps? Great Idea!! Alot of the UT maps from 1999 were really good and would bring back memories of former mayhem! Many of them like HyperBlast were not that big in scope or distance. These would be great maps for small arms only, like shotguns (not the super!) and pistols. The Sumbitch map was along these lines and was really popular (whatever happened to that map?). Anyway, the maps that Joker has gone over and installed all seem to be very smooth and play well, and I'm sure that any new additions can go just as well as Mountain Hideaway or the new ABA Clan area map ( I forgot the exact name and am not going to check now, so shoot me! If you can!) The Player had mentioned new maps during gameplay and I'm glad to see it turn up here. I just hope Bonjaa or JW have the time to make new additions to the ABA server. Hope to read further on this subject....ThatBitch
